You Are Not Forgotten was envisioned and created by Mike Roman, whose father, Tony Roman, served in Vietnam. Mike dedicated this mural to his brother. The military presence in San Antonio plays a huge role in the local economy, and has given rise to the title of "Military City, USA" as a nickname for San Antonio. At one time, Kelly AFB on the city's southwestern edge, was a major employer of members of the Westside community.
